Default What to Swap in?

I was looking for a b18c1 but I can't seem to find one that would fit into my price range. My other options are the h22a or the b16a sir2.

I want a good solid engine w/150+hp for a daily driver/autox car. Fully installed for around 3800-4200

If there is any other option I over looked let me know as well but what what do you think the best way to go is?

http://www.jdmhondaparts.com B18C1 engine/tranny/ecu/axles... $3600 w/shipping
http://www.hasport.com B18C1 mounting kit for your EG/Del Sol. $250-500

install shouldne be more than 500 to 700 the B-series are very easy....especially into an EG/Del Sol

if you know your cars and how to work on them..i would reccomend doin some research and just doin the install with a buddy or two....that will only cost about $50 for the cherry picker rental to lift the engine...and maybe $50 at an auto parts store on extra crap like grease and such.

trust me, you'll want to keep looking for the b18c. the b16 just doesn't have the torque you're looking for, and the H22 is a pretty difficult swap, which supposedly throws handling way off.

Thats what I hear but I am currently out of a car and have been for 2 weeks. I'm running out of time, and getting kinda desperate...
The jdmHondaparts dosen't gurantee the sensors not to be broken and that dosen't sound promising. Since their like 200 a pop?

Or you could try the path , that I chose...
I bought a b17a engine. (complete block head manifold t/body ) No ecu, tranny or distributor. I paid around 480 because it had a blown headgasket.
I located a b16a LSd tranny from a 95 Jdm del sol.
I am building it w/ a pleathora of Itr/Ctr parts...
I still need some axels, linkage and mounts, Ecu,
Without doing the mods that I am doing , you should be around 3k when fininshed and will have the opportunity to rebuild for power and reliability.

yea that was my concern with the h22a as well. What kind of handeling differences are there, anything good shocks and bars can compensate or is it just the weight and front heaviness in the braking?
