d16z6 brand new build, cuts out randomly
sometimes when i drive my car cuts out randomly, didnt do it for the first thousand miles, does it for a day and will quit for a couple weeks and do it again
today i went to import face off, halfway there i decide to park it bc its been cutting out the whole time, on the way back i pick it up and get on the highway and does it for a few miles then drives fine for about 60 or so miles
im thinking its something electrical. maybe from the fuel pump to the wires, or ignition. spark plugs/wires, distributor?
doesnt smoke, burn oil, or leak
any advice or opinions will help
thanks!

Kind of hard to know what may be wrong without knowing if it is spark or fuel that "cuts out".
Because it is an intermittent problem it will be even harder to find, the first thing I would do is listen for the fuel pump when you turn on the ign. switch to run, [not start] when engine "cuts out".
You said, "i decide to park it bc its been cutting out the whole time" when engine cuts out...
How long does it cut out for?
How do you get it running again?
Do you have power at the cluster, do the same things light up like when you turn on the ign. switch to run? 94

1 -1.5 sec cut out
after the couple secs it goes back to normal
Kind of like hitting the rev limiter??
So it's electrical, either your losing ign., or your loosing fuel , [no power or ground signal to the injectors] no power to injectors would possibly be the PGM-FI Main Relay or wiring to it, including power or grounds, no ground signal or improper ground signal to injectors would be an ECU/ECM problem or possibly a sensor. 94

i wouldnt say hitting the rev limiter, just constant on the pedal going down the highway about 75 starts to act like no fuel like you said but when givin gas its fine again untill another 30 secs or less.
i read it might be ecu. but would a ecu just poop out like that randomly
main relay should be good just bought a brand new. clicks twice and everything, fuel pump primes.
i was thinking it might be bad fuel? could that be it? i was going to try a thing of heet to see if it would work, bc its cheap and its not like it will hurt anything. what do you think?
thanks for the response and advice appreciate it
