So the boot blew on my driver side CV axle and got all the **** everywhere. I just put in a new CV axle and outer tie-rod end on. Now all of a sudden, a high pitched but quiet squealing sound will come from the axle somewhere. It only does this after I make a right or left turn from a stop and for about 5-10 seconds(It goes away instantly if I put the clutch in or stop pressing the gas). The car drives smoothly and handles fine. Was there something I'm supposed to grease up on the axle before installing it or do new ones tend to make that noise for awhile?

I did mine recently as well and before buttoning everything back up I spun the rotor and went full lock in both directions and listened for any unusual sounds. I did hear a slight grinding sound ended up being a slightly bent dust shield hopefully this is your problem as well. G/L.

 

Ill check, see if I see anything bent like that but I don't think anythings grinding, I went through and double checked everything earlier so...idk
