Ok so I did an oil change in the Crx This morning and now she won't start. I have done/checked the following:
starter....rated it and was good so I stillbought new one
dizzy......replaced with new one under warranty
checked my fuel press guaugr and it's reading 38psi
checked and Im getting spark
I hear the fuel pump prime
car cranks like it wants to start

any ideas????

got her to start by relieving pressure in fuel system by removing the gas cap????? I'm confused.

 

what motor? adjustable fpr?

sounds like if you "relieved gas pressure" you may need to set the pressure at the fuel rail propperly.. i dont know why this problem started with an oil change. fouling the plugs maybe?

 

plugs are about a year old. im running an obd1 LS/Vtec and no adjustable FPR those are all stock parts

try this.

turn the car completely off. then take out the key. with the jey our hold the gas petal to the floor. while holding the gas petal insert key and hold to start, it should start after that if it was flooded. there is some gasket or valve thing i cant remember but its in your intake that might have gone bad. my 90 si used to flood all the time from the same thing and would give the same symptoms as yours.

 

um, i dont think so. either way if you guys read it right you would have noticed i said it started. and i was asking why would fuel pressure in the gas tank affect starting the car.
