Jap Sir/gsr Project
Kinda new to these boards been a long time lurker so thought it was time to introduce my car. Its a 1998 jdm integra sir that i took as a p/x for my daily (s14a) due to me being out of work and having two drift cars i wanted something a bit more economical for daily use.
The previous owner took good care of the car and heres the condition i got it in:

the car in the form that it stood made 190bhp@the fly and 145lb/ft of torque.
As times were tough i didnt have major plans other then to service the integra and give it a clean......however a set of recaros popped up and they were at the right price so i took them!

Ive started working again so the integra was due some tlc...
engine dampner, mcb, oil temp, pressure and water temp gauges all essentials :D along with a set of 98 spec itr cams

After a quick run on the dyno power currently sits at 200bhp @ the fly and 149 ft/lbs
I wasnt a huge fan of the blue rotas so i changed them for a nice set of buddyclubs that i had powdercoated and some nice toyo r888's.

After a recent trackday a knocking sound started to develop so it was time for a tear down to see what it was. After first thinking it was the bottom end shells it turned out to be the gearbox. Progress so far...

So on the list so far that im doing heres a parts list:
From honda
rocker cover gasket
b18c5 throttle cable and bracket
vtec solenoid gasket and filter
cam seals x2
shift lever bushings x2
cam seal plug
exhaust manifold gasket
b18c5 throttle body
b18c5 throttle body gasket
oil pump
oem thermostat
after market:
skunk2 intake mani
hondata intake gasket
supertech spings and retainers
supertech black nitride valves
viton valve stem oil seals
arp head bolts
arp conrod bolts
cometic 0.5mm headgasket
Ill be getting the head machined and portmatched and retaing the itr cams for now. Ill be keeping the standard ecu and using a neo to map the fueling for now. Down the line ideally id like to go for a hondata and some new cams....just not sure what for now.

to be honest if i get 210-215 @ the fly ill be happy, at least i know with some stage 2 cams (crower, buddyclub) i can get a few more horses safely. The compression on average was 14bar across all 4 cylinders so the scope for more power is there down the line.
Also ill be going with the 98 spec s80 gearbox with a 4.7 final drive so the car should be quite responsive. Our tracks over here arent anything huge (lap times are just over 1 minute) so the gearing will be a huge improvement i hope
