mini-me wont run
ive got the motor in, and all my wiring run for the obd1 conversion. except for the O2 sensor and VTEC solenoid. i wnat to make sure it fires up and runs, doesnt leak, etc before i finish up everything. also want to check all my wiring.
the car is a 1989 CRX Si. hasnt run since ive owned it.
i draned the gas tank and lines, fresh fuel and filter while doing the motor swap.
the car wil crank, sputter, and almost catch on starting fluid. wont stay running, and wont really run. im thinking that ive got a trapped air pocket at the fuel rail, not allowing fuel to get in. does this sound right? also, im not certain that the fuel pump is running. how do i ceck short of pulling a fuel line?
also, i used the boomslanger directions for making my obd0-obd1 distributor jumper harness. the directions called for an orange wire in the obd0 harness. i didnt have any. mine looked more tan than orang, so i assumed it was correct. hs anyone found wire color variences, and what were they?
lastly, i need some help with my vaccum lines. the brake booster line is obvious, but not the others. im running a y-8 manifold, and need to retain the factory emmissions stuff in my state.

bled out the rail last night by removing my return line and cysling the pump a lot. it still ont run, ut i know theres at least fuel at the inectors. plugs are wet, si i guess its firing th injectors.
so, what now?

ok, after a bit more work today i discovered i have no spark. the distributor has a faintly burnt smell. is there any way of testing the distributor and all the stuf in it for proper operation?
