Forgive my ignorance but what is the difference between the Recaros and the stock -S seats? They look to have the same shape and support (aside from the separated harness guides). Weight?

oh my god they are NIGHT AND DAY difference!!

a) The Recaro is a bucket style seat. When you sit in them you are just wrapped in the seat. I will take a better comparison picture especially the side bolsters for your legs! They are true race style seats, no movement there!

b) They sit lower so I'm closer to the floor and better in touch with the car

c) Much lighter, not leather and no airbags

d) BALLER AS FAWK black Recaro with Red Stitching

Pretty much everything for the Type-R has a race built purpose hence one of the reasons we like using Type-R engines, support bars, trannies, etc. Everything is designed lighter, stronger, faster and sexier lol These seats are no exception to that! Getting in and out is a fun challenge!

I've had a set of Recaros in my EP, but never sat in the RSX-S seats before. They look a bit more snug than the OEM EP seats.

For me at least, EP seats are a little more snug and more comfortable. I also like the fact that they aren't leather.
