Default Dual Exhaust Questions

i havent seen it yet on here, but i want to run a dual exhaust on my CRX. right now it has a hi flow cat and about 2 ft of pipe that just turns down. it is so dan gloud especially when it hits v tec. its like "hey! pull me over im speeding!" so basically im thinkin right after the cat put a good muffler, then a Y (remove that stock exhaust tunnel piece of course, you know the one that only turns to the passenger side), and run it out both sides above both LCA's. OR... split it right after the cat and have 2 mufflers, a short one on each side after the LCA's. now is there anything AGAINST running exhaust piping on the drivers side. i know thats where you fill your fuel.... im going to have a shop custom bend and weld for me the pipes. can anybody recommend a muffler? i mean i know its american muscle but anybody ever just throw a flowmaster on there? im not in the market for a $700 stainless kit. i plan on stenciling the cut out on the drivers side of the rear bumper and cutting that same pattern on the passenger side to make it look good. i guess i could always bypass the drivers side, make it come out the passenger side and then split? but that makes for sucky flow to the second tip. anybody got anythin on this out there?

umm... im all about originality... but dual exhaust? fail. that and ive seen people do that to a couple hondas. even though there are two exits, the exhaust fumes still only exit from one side. so one pipe is like covered in black and the other side is useless and shiny. lol

Actually, Mugen made exhausts for the First Gen CRX/3RD Gen Civic that were dual exhausts, some floating around for the 4thgen Civics..
Go ahead and do it, just don't overkill.

If you want a nice, low rasp, quiet exhaust it should go something like this.
Catalytic==========Resonator======Resonated Exhaust

idk most exhausts you can find WILL sound like *** and they just look dumb IMO. there's a kid that rolls around my neighbor hood in a green SI hatch with dual exhaust, loud and raspy as ****!! that and his motor is **** and smokes like a train... any ways do what you want, i think dual exhaust looks dumb on any car (even trucks and s2k's)

haha you guys are crazy! i dont even go for shiny stuff. just big pipes is cool with me. that black Si, looks really stupid with dual exhaust. maybe somebody can turn me away from dual with a nice looking single exit, custom exhaust? liek i said, i dont want a $700 stainless kit...

Well i've got an RS*R Exhaust, paid 50$ for it from a seller on Hybrids.
I love the way it looks, 2.5", most aftermarket exhausts hang really low though, i hate those Canister (N1) Exhausts but i love straight pipe exhausts (No muffler tip)
I was going to suggest a flat black Buddy Club Spec. II but those things are loud.
There is also an Exhaust thread somewhere around here, go and have a look in it, a lot of nice exhausts custom and aftermarket.
