License plate frame bolted to bumper?
Sorry guys, quick question....
the oem license plat holder...is it bolted or screwed into the front of the bumper? Or is it connected to the grill, or possibly the bottom of the top part of the bumper? (like, INSIDE the grill area).
Any help would be great.

It depends. It should be connected to the black plastic of the lower grill.
However, some dealers are idiots and put a big hole through the middle of the bumper.

I mean no disrespect, but why not go take a look for yourself? Take the initiative and take that sucker apart and find out.
Like others have said it depends on the dealer where you purchased your car from. I've seen both, but luckily my car only had the two screws mounting to the grill.

I do not have a civic currently...I'm looking into buying one, and I'd like to know, if I DO see one I have interest in, do I have to worry about holes in my bumper. I was wondering if it was standard for the license plate mount to be screwed/bolted to the bumper or not.
Thanks though.

Do the old, "saltless french fries" trick.
Buy the car, tell them there is a problem with the bumper, have them replace bumper free of charge.
Maybe if a couple of people do this they'll stop putting holes in the bumpers.

Big ole hole in the front of my sedan. Gonna have it patched when it goes under the knife, then relocating my front plate. Stupid Texas and their two plate laws.
Most dealers will drill one hole behind the top middle of the license plate frame. I asked my dealership NOT to drill a hole but was informed they are sometimes drilled that way from the factory (which I didn't totally believe). Needless to say when I picked up my car... there was a hole. I got in a little scrape with my front bumper so decided to have the hole filled while the bumper was being repainted. Still sucks though.
