ef9 cool build!!!!
well me being into drifting since before i had a licence, i thought i whould never buy a honda or anything FF in that matter(unless it was a mitsu fto gp-r) but after driving my friends ef hatch i was hooked. i liked the look and style of the ef hatch, the handling of the car and the ability to swap countless powerplants in the car,and not to mention the abundance of rare parts that can be found for the car.all of that was kinda appealing to me so i sold my other DD and picked up a 1991 std ef hatch,4spd and all!!!lol
i picked her up for $700 from a friend before he started to part her out,i hand waxed the car painted the moldings and put some si hubbys on,she sits on ebay coilovers and they have tons of lowering capability. the body has zero rust and has a few dings, the pm5 in the car just turned to 100,000 miles today, now she is at 100,006 miles, and the interior is clean. i will be getting the car painted next week and then i will lower the car way more, the bumpers will be painted but the bumper filler and the hood will not because i will be rusting them out.after that the car is a blank canvas and i will be doing more and more things to it,but not to much because i have my rhd s13 coupe to work on too!!!!
this is my buddys yr-88 hatch that got me into hondas:

and this is how the hatch looked when i got it:

looks pretty good. not sure how i feel about rusting the hood.. and yes i've seen this "style" before. also, the car is sitting pretty damn low as it is. not sure lowering it even more would be all that adviseable.
oh and better throw some tech in here or this thread will be locked with the swiftness

Yeah I think it's kinda humerous that people are fixing the rear quarter rust but then intentionally rusting the hood, front fenders etc. Not my cup of tea, but hey man it's your car! Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it!
