Default Exhaust creek is driving me insane

My exhaust has started creeking and rattling especially when I first start it up and at a stop. I climbed under it to day while fixing the brakes to find the culprit and it was the small bracket that holds the exhaust up. I can't find any way to get it off without cutting it. It's the small piece of square metal attached the the bracket that isn't even doing anything rattling. Any ideas? You can see it in this picture:

No offense but it looks like a muffler shop job, and a lazy one at that! if you recently payed some1 to do that i would take it back and have them put a factory style rubber hanger back on it. you can get the rubber part from any auto parts store and they should be able to make the studs.

Yeah it is, that's where it's welded to the exhaust pipe.

I didn't have this done by any means. It was like that when I bought it. I plan on changing the exhaust out to a spare I have anyways so I think I will do this. So the rubber hangers are just available at any auto parts store?

yeah take the bracket off, and get hangers, and rubber. if you want to wait in the mean time, maybe get some brake cleaner clean off all the grease, and re-grease it till you get the exhaust you want, with the right hangers

Btw, that hanger wasn't made to be welded on to the pipe, it should have a steel or rubber strap from it around the pipe

Yeah my shifter is vibrating against my exhaust shield or just loose and makes a noise also so I have two annoying noises. Not to mention some random squeak on the inside of the car. That should be a fun one to track down.
