so when im driving dorn the road and let off on the throttle my tans kind of jerks a little and it makes a grinding type noise. It only happens when i decel. so at the moment im not engine braking for fear of the sound has anyone ever experienced this?

 

Throw out bearing....its just gonna get worse

 

If the transmission is making noise with the clutch pedal up but not when down, then a bad input shaft bearing in the transmission is more likely.

 

it only makes the sound when i dont have the clutch depressed so why would it be a throw out bearing?

 

Jack up the front of ur car and get under there near the trans. Have a friend start the car and run it til you get the noise. u should be able to pinpoint where in the trans it's coming from with an automotive stethoscope. It sounds like your final drive is going bad. U can tell by listening to it
