SOHC distributor! placed wrongly?

Default SOHC distributor! placed wrongly?

okay so my distributor went out on my d16y8, bought a used one from local, car still wont start...........


looked up more information, came accross someone talking about how the distributor could be placed 180 degrees wrong..... i dont know much about how to place it, can anyone give me any tips? pictures/ anything...

it cant be put in 180*, the keyway is offset on one side

Apparently, some after market dizzies can be installed 180-degrees out of phase, but I think you have to muscle them on.

Also check the firing order of the plug wires on the cap. Do you have spark?
