PURE STOCK 97 EK, should i trade for a integra?
so i really want a integra, theres this guy with a acura right here, http://s803.photobucket.com/albums/y...akjfh/?start=0
who wants to trade for my car straight up, he has 166k on his car, and i have 180k on mine, both are clean title, but hes car looks like it need a little more work(notice a missing lug on a rim) and also needs to replace a head gasket because of a oil leak?, he wants hes white rims also, is it a good deal or no?
my car is perfect besides a paint job(some douche bag hit it like 3 months ago so thats why i have a couple of unpainted parts)

If you think you can fix the problems or pay to fix the problems, then go for it.
But, I bet he wants your Civic hatch, which is worth considerably less than a teg (-kbb.com-), just to get rid of the problems he is having and doesn't know how to fix, or doesn't have money to fix.
My opinion, stick with the Civic if you are comfortable with it and if you don't have any problems with it.

u should trade it... cause after u get it fixed it would be way more funner than your civic IMO.... and plus DC's look clean with the jdm front on it
i wouldn't do it put a ls swap in your hatch and youll have twice the fun you would trading for a integra that needs a new head gasket and who knows what else

there hx wheels, as for the OP If you have the extra funds and know how to take care of the oil leak headache if its just the headgasket it maybe worth it the integra not only is a upgrade but with a little bit of cash suspension and motor wise can be a fun daily but...
if you don't mind taking a little time doing your civic right over the next few months and get some paint it wouldn't be half bad either. The Integra has all the power options were as the civic doesn't have those "luxuries."
It's just really all about preferences, maybe you should make a pro's and con's list between the two and decide from there?

did you leak down test/ compression test to make sure it's a headgasket and not rings? or head leaking? why was the first headgasket blown? WAS it the first headgasket blown are has it been happening every few months?
There's a lot behind a blown headgasket you're buying a lot of problems.
You can swap your hatch for less than $1200 which you might end up spending on this teg
Your ride's clean dude just keep it

i say dont do it, mainly because ive never been a fan of tegs. but also because im sure that teg needs a good deal of work if the owner let the headgasket take a **** and isnt trying to fix it. just think of what else could be wrong with it.

if there dont even know whats wrong with it i wouldnt do it just paint your hatch and save up the money you would of spent trying to figure out whats wrong with the teg and do a swap wouldnt wanna see you on here in a few weeks making a new thread about how to fix the integra
keep the ek, paint the parts, get some wheels and you wont regret having something running and looking nicer and nicer, instead of fixing his problems and who knows what else.
It's all in the eyes of the beholder. I would trade in a second for the teg....but I dont like ek hatches(yeah I said it). But you may see the opposite of me. Do whatever makes you happy. The last thing you want is to feel like you got ripped off.
personaly i wouldnt do, but im not you, so if you want to do it, do it, as long as you dont feel like you got ripped off, then go for,
like him keep the wheels, they are cheep and look horrible on that car.
i dont like hatches, and id still rather have the hatch.
