For one I fcking HATE this car now.. Nothing but fcking problems! I miss it being problem less...

Aight heres the deal. It was working fine, drove it across the street from school for boba, then went to turn it on and the battery died. ok umm wtf? Got a jump start and the car felt like it was running at 50% of its full power. Also, the blower motor for the AC was only pushing half the air.

It kept getting worse and it was strugling to even signal. HID's didnt even turn on. THe car turned off, but I kicked started it, got off and got towed home.

I switched batteries with my brother and it solved the problem (or so I thought), but again its losing power. The cluster lights up at maybe 75% of its brightness, and the HID's start flickering. The car itself feels like it lost 75% of its horsepower. And its been struggling to start.

I know my starter is fcked up, could that be causing it? Or the alternator not keeping the batter charged?

sounds like your alternator is going bad and it only keeping a small charge on the battery.

I had the exact same problem, and I thought it was my starter too, but I found my main alternator power wire connection extremely loose, tightened it up and problem solved. Now go check ALL your wires, power and ground..

What wire are you talking about??? My batter to chassis ground is tight (2ga ftw!) and the cable to the alternator is tight as ****. Its a 8mm I believe?? Unless youre talking about a diff wire.

you got a volt/ohm reader? check the power to the battery off and then while its running, 12v off and should be around 14v running, anything lower then 12v while running, prob your alternator

Replace the alternator and you should be good to go. Do it soon before you kill another battery.

Who knows, the new alternator may also fix your idle problem. What's up with the ECU? A bad alternator can cause all kinds of weird problems.

Pull off your alternator and take it to a parts store (Autozone) and have them test it before you waste money on a new one.

I bought the ECU used off someone else and I thought that my rich problem was due to a bad vacuum leak or something. But its running REALLY rich, as in 12MPG rich. So im assuming it has something to do with the ECU. VTEC works fine though, but it runs too rich.

I installed an alternator and starter off of my friends 2000 HX which was totalled 2 years ago. I also used the same battery in which my car died with.
The car turned on like a champ, but as soon as I would disconnect it from my brothers car, the car would die and it would be as if there was no battery at all.
I tried leaving them connected and left my car on for 20 minutes but again, as soon as I would disconnect the cables, it was dead.

It sounds like the battery currently in your car is dead. Did you try swapping your brother's battery into your car?

Is fuse #15 under the dash blown?

Yeah I switched out the battery and it seemed fine...
I havent checked out the fuse, ill check it out in the morning.

So I put the battery in and the car was running fine for the mile that I test drove it. My chick wanted McDonalds so I said **** it lets take my car since it works now.
It took like 15 seconds to start and im not exaggerating. It just kept cranking and it wouldn't start.
So I started driving it and again, I felt the loss of power. The cluster lights also werent as bright as they should be. Also, the HID's started flickering on and off and would stay off completely for about 2 minutes till I got home. Im surprised I even made it home.

Any other options or things I could check?

a way to check your alternator is this... works great. start your car and pull the positive off the battery, if it stays alive alternator is good, if its bad the car will die

YES!!! THE FUSE WAS BLOWN!!!!!!

I pulled it out and it didnt look blown so I was going to put it back in, but I was like "ill switch it out for a different 7.5 just in case", and as I look at it again, it had SLIGHT crack in the fuse part. I put a new one, now I just need to get a jump haha, cant use my brothers car lol.

RonJeremy, youve helped me out so much, if youre ever in the So Cal area I'd like to buy you a beer and NOT talk about trouble shooting lol.

Glad to hear you found the fix, though I don't know who RonJeremy is?

By the way, if fuse 15 blows again, then read this TSB.
