Icon6 My attempt at using a velocity stack....

I picked up a BPI stack a couple of weeks ago and here is my attempt at trying to use it correctly. I am also using a new air filter that has the 6inch inlet to fit around the stack.

Current setup is

B16a stock bore stroke
CTR pistons/cams
portflo headwork & components
ITR intake manifold
Spoolin header
no cat w/ 2.5 exhaust
tuned on s300
cams gears at +4intake -4exhaust
neither head or block have been milled

My current intake setup is 2.75 inch tubing w/ AEM filter at the end of it.
I'm going to try to use the stack in three different ways and check it at the dyno.

One is to just get a 3inch to 2.75inch reducer and just put the new stack and filter on the end of it.

The next is a complete 3inch aluminum cold air setup with the filter kept in the fender well and a 3inch to 2.75 reducer at the T/B.

The last is to make a 3.0 inch shortram intake that will eventually get air from a headlight box if this design proves to hold its own. This design will also use the reducer at the T/B.

I currently make 172hp/110tq@8500rpm.

I hit the dyno this week hopefully.....

I'll post up dyno charts after my runs....

Off topic but...Did you have made/make the front brace yourself? Or, was it off the shelf?

Local fabricator made it. There is another in the rear. I save a grip of weight using them compared to the stock bumper supports.

Looks good.. Just run it str8 out tho, you'll make more power, instead of making the air move in curves.
