LARGEST turbos to be used on Honda's?
Anyone know who's running the "larger" turbos out there right now and what they're making for power?
I believe Steph runs a GReddy T88 w/ 850whp....

Kenny Tran uses a t-70 and says it spools too quickly and makes in the 900 hp range.
stOOpids new project is with that! (T-70)he is also using methanol. its gonna go on a built h22 motor with 11:1 compression... gunning for 700WHP with AC and the car will be daily driven!
Good lord... thats sick.
Turbo choice is so hard. I have a million people telling me a million things. "All" I want is 135mph traps, street driven... 1.9L approx. I was thinking T4/62-1... I hear thats a waste. Then people are saying T3/60-1... then I hear thats old techology and a T3/T04E is capable of 550whp in the correct trim... jeeeeeebus.

yeah, i am having the same trouble deciding what turbo to get next. i am looking for around 132 mph trap speed in a '96 coupe, full interior, everything. my choice weighs down to a gt35 from vaportrail.

i installed a t04R the other day and im telling you that is one turbo that slams. i had the boost up to around 30 psi and it loved it. Im going to use one on my car. i have driven Hondas with T series turbo before and this turbo spools far quicker and it will flow a little more than a T66. i cant find a compressor map for it unfortunatly.
I know it still uses a small shaft. As far as the turbine im not exactly sure but i think we used a P trim. The best guy i know is Robert Vega at Majestic, he gotall the specs from us and told us this is the one. Let me tell you it hits hard. Im talking about bloowing the tires apart going 80-90 miles and hour down the free way.
Fastrax TO4s is what Jotech put on my integra. They can be good up to 600 horse documented. And the pull is insane! You would definetly enjoy it. My car trapped at 126 though.
The 62-1 is lazy
! For high HP and RPM a T61 or T66 with a P-trim AR.58 or O-trim AR.70 would be better.
TO4R is a 62-1 blade in a bored AR.70 T04S (60-1) compressor housing. The blade pitch on the HKS TO4R blade is slightly different from the 62-1 but the major and minor diameters are the same.

When compared to the 60-1 and T61 the 62-1 spools like turtle on downers.
The HKS TO4R (62-1 based) spools a lot better because of the different blade pitch.
The T88 is a Mitsubishi TD08 hybrid that flows like a Garrett T66 and there are variants that are comparable to the T72.

No I wouldn't because there are plenty of guys here who know a heck of a lot more than me! Mark C, Dustin, Earl, Viren, FFGeoff, HyperTune Mark and quite a few other guys have helped me to broaden my knowledge base many many many times!
