i've got a 95 civic 5 speed with a 1.5-liter engine.i was wondering if its possible to put a 1.6 sohc vtec motor in it. and how

 

lol...dude it bolts right it. its identical to the original motor now. just the internals are dif.
use a z6 tranny too, if you dont it wont be too impressive. that bolts right in too.

 

yea but the car that is coming off of is automatic.and where can i get a z6 at?

 

there were 2 dif versions of the 1.6 vtec the d16y8 and the d16z6. the same motor except internals. you can find those in every junkyard
the z6 tranny i was referring to is the d16z6 tranny. its very good so is the y8 tranny.
the 1.5 tranny and nonvtec d16y7 have longer gears(gas mileage)
you can put a d16 vtec motor right up to your AT tranny. every Dseries(sohc) part is interchangle (about 99% parts)

 

if you haven't bought the motor yet, just get a jdm d15b and lsd tranny. if you already have the y8/z6, do what rick says.
