Default 88/89 -> 90/91 cluster conversation question

So I did a conversation because I couldn't find any of my year car in the junk yards. So I rewired the harness and everything. The Tach doesn't work. I am thinking the PO disconnected the wire? I have not checked to see if there is power yet. But I assuming it's either disconnected or the tach is broken.

2nd question. There are three harnesses on the cluster. And my car has two. Everything wired up but the dimmer switch (which i forogot) and the 4 pin two wire connector. I have no idea what that is for. Does anyone know? You know that blueish green one in the middle that connects to the circuit board?

I searched on here for hours and found no topics that answered this? If there is I am sorry.

no comment

But anyways...

Rewire is done as such?
You should have no problem. There is no reason to disconnect a tach... Try it again, post results. For the tach atleast, make sure you have the proper ground, and that (assuming your car is an 88-89) the tach wire BLU is in the 12th spot on the big plug.
Also, 3 plugs means an auto cluster. The third plug should be green. Bad.
Auto clusters look weird in a manual car.
Maybe your tranny ground wire is bad too, if the cluster is wired up right.

Ok so I noticed i didn't hook up the tach ground which i just did. I am curious as to what these two wires are coming out of the cluster... They are yellow and blue/white anyone know? Also I tested the tach wire (Blue) with a voltmeter and got a reading.

Its not part of the harness. They are coming straight from the back of the cluster. One is blue with a white stripe (Opposite of the one next to the tach wire.) And one is yellow kind of like C4. These wires are seperate and and are straight from the cluster. Everything via the plugs have been wired together. Also the seperate tach ground has been grounded to the harness ground.
