wtf happened?? car wont start!
ok i have no idea what happened but heres my story, i took my distributor off to put another one on because the one i had on at the time wasnt mines (i was borrowing it). The distributor i got was used but it worked and im 100% sure of this. Well anyways, i put the distributor on and go to start my car and it just cranks but wont turn over completely. I put the other distributor i was using on and still no start. Spark plug wires and plugs are brand new. The car attempts to start but wont. Both of the distributors dont sit flush with the head anymore, I have to tighten the three boths to close the gaps (i dont know if thats normal or not). Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
you might have put the new dizzy with the ears that go on the the notch on the cam backwards and messed something up.
timing has nothing to do with the dizzy sitting flush or not.. check for internal damage, if none, there's only one way the dizzy will sit flush with the head, twist the ears until they sit flush in the notch on the cam.

Thanks slowhatch and RonJ. I had no idea the ears had to go on a certain way. But say if i did mess something up, whats the worse that can happen? Sorry, i would go check but its already late. Ill be checking for sure tomorrow though.
