ok i ran the vin on my crx to see if it was an si hf dx or whatever and ive never heard it called a honda civic 1500 crx si. has anyone else? i kno it was a version of the civic but anyway. ive been havin trouble figuring this out i wanted to see it it was mpfi or dpfi. i was told if its an si its mpfi but there is no circle plug on the driver side. but i looked at the wiring in the car cuz it doesnt have the engine harness in it. there is a circle and rectangle plug on the passenger side and on the driver side there is only one small square plug. i have the dash and everything out there was nothing cuzso idk what to do. can some please help me?!!!!!

 

its got the square plug because its an 88. if its got a sunroof and rear disc its an si. if its got small front hubs its an hf. but some one could have changed the hubs. or if you konw anyone with an si you can look at the shock tower plugs and see if the wire colors are in the same spots hf and si had different colors in different spots on those plugs. another way is to check the ecu plugs and look for all 4 fuel injector wires they will all be a different color and right next to each other. search for the pinouts to find the colors.

 

ok ya it has a sunroof but it doesnt have rear disk thats one reason i was wandering. what would be the best way to figure out the injector wires a haynes book? and idk anyone with an si. i wish i did. does the obd0 ecu wires have 3 lugs like obd1? this is my first ef build. i built an eg but that was easy!

u sure mine is a 90 si with rear disc!!

 

90/91 SI had rear disc, all others had drum. HF/SI mpfi all others dpfi. SI had a sunroof regardless of Year. 88 had stamped rlca maybe 89 too but im not sure.

 

88 CRX Si's do not have rear disk. They do have a sun-roof, and Si decal on the right rear glass.

If it has a factory sun-roof more than likely you have an 88 CRX Si.
