THINKiNG ABOUT GOIN F HELP!!
Sooo for a couple of weeks now I been ready about all motor f builds and I want to give it a try my self, so if any of you guys build any f motors before and what did it put down and I'm talking about the soch f motors like F23 and. F22 witch one would be better .. Thanks for the help
I've got a DOHC F-series and made 200whp and 184wtq for very cheap using a lot of OEM parts and cheap shelf parts. If you want to do it with a SOHC F22/F23 then you'll pretty much have to go with a Webcams or Bisimoto cam and that's one of the 5 most expensive custom components:
$850 F22 header (from Bisi)
~$1000 ported head (IIRC done through Portflow)
>$500 Bisi cam/valvetrain package
$500 pistons
$300 F22 rods
Be prepared to spend about $750 for custom rods for the F23 as they are unique.
Of course that's if you're going for high power. You can save a lot of money if you use OEM parts and a DC header etc. Otherwise there are few people that have made 200+whp on a SOHC without juice or FI.

While I've not seen it done you can use an F23 block, $400 87mm Forged K20A shelf pistons with a 3cc dome and no wrist pin offset, a cam/cam gear/VT package from Bisimoto, some 370+cc injectors and tuning should get you near 200whp.
My build was 2,307cc 11.7:1 compression 215˚ duration @ .05" .451" lift IN/EX with stock Honda parts and a DC header w/ 2.5" collector into a 2.5" exhaust and after a bit of tuning I got 200. My biggest expense was the cams/gears/vlavetrain.

If you have a decent local performance shop you can use OEM 86.25mm K20A pistons in the F23 but you need to rotate the piston 180˚ in the bore and make sure that you have intake valve clearance. If you don't have enough clearance then you need to machine the pistons' "exhaust" valve pockets deeper.

I'm hoping to have this setup in the near future. I've already got everything but the bisi springs/retainers. Hoping to get close to 200whp/200w lb/ft

Let me know what Bisimoto parts you are interested in and let's see what we can work out

you could always go SOHC hybrid F22a head and F23 block. With mostly stock parts and some custom stuff from bisi I was able to put down over 200HP and 157lb/tq. If I step up to a 3" exhaust there is alot more there. The current exhaust is an RS-R exhaustmag. Its only about 2 3/8"
