Default loose axles

hey yall i got a crx with obd0 b16a. both axles seems to be loose. i torqued the axle bolts to spec and have even taken the whole thing out to make sure i have the retaining clips on the tranny side. but i can still grap the axle and shift it side to side about a eighth of an inch but both the cv joints are snug. you can hear it clunk back and forth when your on a bumpy road or go up a slanted driveway. it sounds horrible and bugs the crap outta me lol any ideas?

If the CV joints are both snug, I would double check to make sure you have the right axles.
