03 Odyssey Vapor Cannister. Where is it?
Have had a gas smell inside the cabin and after repeated trips to the dealer, and inspections of the fuel lines and AC, can't find the cause. Could this be the vapor cannister gone bad and if so, where is it?

thanks for the recall notice, but it has been checked out with this recall number. The dealer has done a complete fuel line inspection as well as a smoke test. This is what makes me think that it is the vapor cannister.
The EVAP Canister is located driver's side engine compartment.
Other checks:
EVAP Bypass Solenoid Valve
EVAP 2-way Valve
Vacuum Test
Fuel Tank Vapour Control Valve
EVAP Canister
Vent shut-off O-ring
EVAP Canister Vent Shut-off Valve
No codes stored?

I thought the canister and associated parts were under the vehicle. Near the fuel tank.

from looking at that pic it does appear that the cannister is in the engine compartment, but it is, in fact under the vehicle. as a HONDA TECHNICIAN I should know since I'm under them all the time. not trying to discredit you but that picture is misleading. in fact that pic would lead you to believe that the gas tank in on the passenger side of the vehicle, also, which it is not. the EVAP cannister is just forward of the fuel tank almost directly under the drivers footwell.

No worries. Actually, you are right, now that I see how the diagram is laid out. It is not in the engine compartment but as you say in front of the fuel tank under the van. Thanks for the clarification as I am not a Honda Tech and learn so much from you guys. Does this mean I have to leave this fine forum now?
