Default P0135 Error Code for '96 Accord (help please)

The Auto Zone guy handed me a receipt that reads (due to check engine light being on, had them run diagnostics):

Definition
BBA/F sensor 1 heater system malfunction
Probable Cause
BB1-Open or short circuit condition
BB2-Poor Electrical Condition
BB3-Faulty A/F sensor 1

The guy said the O2 Sensor part would be about $41.

Any suggestions if my problem may truly be an easy fix
or what else to do? Trying to explore money saving options.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Measure resistance of heater circuit IN sensor. Blk/Blk. If OL, replace sensor. His "guess" is probably correct.

Replace the primary O2 sensor with a quailty part not just the cheapest you can find. I see these heater failure codes for the O2 sensors all day long. Just throw in a new one clear the DTC and your good to go. Remember your a Honda owner and your Honda is real finnicky so be sure to use a quality OE replacement part.
