Well guys I have an em1 with an Apexi WS2 exhaust and i'm facing the common problem of it potentially rubbing against the gas tank. The exhaust was already installed on the car when I purchased it and now looking at it more closely under a hoist I can see that the moron or morons half assed installed it. They tried welding a hanger to the pipe at the axleback and further tried connecting it to a hanger that was held in place by a self-tapping sheet metal screw. Well needless to say that ripped itself out and now I'm facing the issue at hand and to make matters worse they chopped off the factory hangers(cut them. in other words not totally off) to make room for the exhaust...why I don't know but my question for you guys is how would you go about fixing this...any pics would be great!!!

 

Take it to a muffler shop.

 

weld some new hangers up. just move your rubber pieces to the new hangers.
