d16y8 swap problems
Hi there, i just swapped my d16y7 for a d16y8 in my 99 civic dx.
When i start the engine, it idles half decent, but not perfect, engine shaking slightly, but my main problem is unburned fuel literally spraying out of the tail pipe.
i kept my y7 harness and fuel rail, swapped in the p2p ecu.
swapped the IAC + pin from b6 to b23, cut off my 3 wire IAC connector and put female connectors on the ends of the yel/blk and blk/blu wires and connected them to the y8 IACV.
i added a wire for the vtec solonoid and ran that to b12 and the same for the vtec pressure switch going to c10 as well as grounded the negative wire.
the MIL stays on, but my car doesn't have a cat so i've always gotten a 'check secondary o2' code, but when i look for codes on this new ecu the MIL just stays on, which should mean no codes.
i'm really stumped and tired of breathing gasoline fumes
any ideas?
