Default brakes dragging after change

I just replace the front rotors and pads on my 89 crx si. the pads i used were PBR ULT (formerly axxis ultimates) and i resurfaced some rotors off of a 90 dx sedan. the pads did look a big meaty and i did have to kind of smack the caliper down over the rotor. Do i just drive and let them wear or what do i do?

Ok well i bought a new rotor to see if that was the problem. Of course the place i went to didn't have 89 in there system, but they had 88 and 90 and they were the same part number so i figured 89 had to be the same as well. i put the new rotor on. the caliper, with the pads loaded, slid on alot easier. i bolted the caliper in place and spun the hub and everything was cool. i put my wheel on and hand tighten the lugs and it freezes up! what the heck is going on?

did you reset your caliper pistons before you put the new pads on?

dx sedan rotors are not the same as crx or hatch rotors. they are thicker, and slightly smaller diameter, hardly noticable. but it is definitely noticably thicker. thats your problem.

The caliper was fine the last time i drove it. i really have not even touched the brake pedal and it is dragging. I flushed my fluid about 4 months ago.
