p1295 FINALLY SOLVED 01 F23A1
Hello been awhile since last post was feeling down since getting my P1295.
Symptons i was having:
1. Went starting for first time in morning sound like i was outta power steering fluid it was kinda like a screech.
2. could drive about 3 miles and be able to get 75% throttle with out limp mode kicking in
3. Car bogged out when accelerating.
Fixes i tried:
1 Vtec solenoid screen cleaned
2 Oil pump replaced
3 checked oil pressure was just fine
4 tried lucas sythenic stablizer (it actually helped a little)
5 checked pickup tube and oil pan
6 took to honda they recomended steps 1-3 and they checked pan and paid for another gasket to look at pickup tube. i had already done but i let them do except replace oil pump again. after that i got vibe they didnt want to deal with it. They said needed to replace motor estimate 4600 lol cmc CRAZY HELL I CAN BUY SAME CAR FOR THAT PRICE.
My simple solution: On the bottom of pan in front there was a small indention. Hard to see im talking very small not noticable not interfering with pickup tube. took the oil pan off once again got a piece of wood and mallet, knocked it out, put oil pan back on exhaust etc. and Hell She Runs Great finally 100% at my request. Simple solution i did alot of research on this issue and didnt find alotta info even in mitchell they just recommended check vtec screen. So i posted hopefully this will help someone in future. I gave it a week before posting to make sure issue resolved and it has. Seen this p1295 code resolved by just cleaning screen but not in my case. apologize for typing
