Deal on rolling chassis?!?!
Well, I totalled out my '99 EX that had a bunch of stuff done to it. Fully built Y8, Wings West lip kit, wheels, lowered, carbon hood and trunk....
I found a '99 Civic Si rolling chassis that is in great shape, it just needs a motor. It comes with the B16 tranny, misc. head parts and a bunch of extra stuff. Clean title... it just needs an engine.
The guy wants $2200 for it... is this a good deal? I can sell a lot of the extra parts off both vehicles and pretty much get the chassis for next to nothing.
The question is, should I do it?

I always said anything over $2k for something that doesn't run is not a very good investment... Considering you can get it running and looking great, take into retrospect you could find an si that runs great for around $5k w/o having to do anything to it but get in and drive... The thing it boils down to, is how much time and money do you have to spend..?? Are you looking for a project car..?? Things of that nature...
It's not really gonna be much of a project as all the stuff from my wrecked car can be put on the other one... And for the most part, the only money that will be involved is the purchase of the chassis as well as the sale of all the extra parts from both cars...
And you'd have to buy a longblock also.. That's if you plan on going B series, otherwise yes all ur EX **** can just be converted over... And you can rock an EM1 with a single cam...
The single cam is fully built from the oil pan to valve cover and has a 60/63 Garrett hangin' off the front of it... =P I was just wondering if $2200 is a fair price for the rolling chassis for an EM1... I'm gonna pull and install the engine myself... just don't wanna pay too much for a chassis.
My next question is, will the D bolt right in? I don't think it will...

I wouldnt do it but thats just me. The money you could save you can use towards other stuff unless you buy the SI shell and sell some stuff off of it.

rolling chassis including full interior, wheels, suspension, clean title, and no hacked to **** wires? if the answer to either of these is "no" then that is my answer.
All that, great condition and complete. Comes with B16 tranny and other misc parts from the B16 engine (cam, valve cover, distributor, alternator).
oh the hell yeah! jump on it, and re-sell the trans to make back an easy $4-500. throw in the other misc. parts and end up only spending about $1200 on the shell.
