Default Lubricant/sealer needed for the VTEC solenoid gasket?

Is lubricant/sealer needed for the VTEC solenoid gasket? Or can I just install it as is?

I always use honda bond around the edges because I have bad luck with them

Ive always used the standard gasket and it worked properly.
