95 sol + avital
Okay so we got the alarm wired up, went to program it, and low and behold no power to ignition system. So pull the fuse, and hunt for the short, cant find it. Put new fuse in (50amp IG fuse) and get power to ignition, but no power to alarm. So take out the brain unit and goto start car, blow fuse again. Hunt again cant find short, try again. Fuse stays, starter wont turn over. Jump starter off battery, starter is dead. Okay so what the hell would cause this? No shorts in wires, all wires properly hooked up, and all of the lines we messed with except the main IG hot wire are all small amperage lines. Anyone have any ideas?
PS We did not install remote start, all we installed was the brain unit, door open indicators, siren, and parking light flashers. No other systems were tapped into. And yes we checked all fuses, and they are all good (visual and fluke tested all of them)
