90 crx gsr idle-start-fuel woes. help!
First off let me aplogize if this belongs in a tech forum or somewhere else. Noob poster but avid reader/searcher.
about a month ago I bought a 90 crx si equipped with a b18c1. Recently replaced the brakes, brake master cylinder, internal fusebox and ignition switch. The car was running strong until today. I was coasting thru a light and when I went to accelerate it seemed as if the engine was choking. Couldn't build speed and it wouldn't rev past 3k. It now struggles to start and will die unless its given gas but still won't fully throttle. Sounds like death. I checked connections. Ecu is obdo I think and shot codes 3 and 7. Took the intake off and checked tps and map sensor as best as I could to my limited knowledge. Wiring to the ecu is kinda butch which is why I had to replace other things earlier. Opened ecu which is labeled dyne something and it looked to be ok. Any thoughts? Tomorrow is my bday and a great gift would be the info to get this thing running again. THX in advance.

when you hit 3k is it like hitting the rev limiter? if so when i had that problem it was a CKP problem (Crank positioning Sensor ) it in the Distributor make sure i beleive its the white wire on d series im not to sure on GSRs so sounds like it to me ... when it happened to me the Wire for the CKP broke from the connector lol
Ok so I had my car towed to my certified Honda mechanic and he said the issue is the fuel pump, only getting 15psi out of it. I'm looking for a cheap but reliable way to fix it. Was thinking walboro 255 fuel pump with B&M regulator and gauge to deliver the proper amount to the b18. Any thoughts? Should this fix my issue and are those parts reliable?
I just had the same prob with my 89 ED with an LS. I figured it was my pump cuz it had never been replaced in the last four years at least. Put the new walbro in today and it still is doing the same thing. Switched out my filter, injectors, rail and regs and nothing. I noticed tho that the pump doesn't prim when you put it on ON, but it turns on on start. Is yours doing that? If I have the throttle at WOT when I crank it, it will fire, rev all the way up, then idle down and will run fine.but that's the ONLY way I can get it to start I'm really confused.

Maybe stupid questions but...
1. I should get the 88-91 crx walbro FP not the integra one, correct?
2. Does the b&m gauge attach directly to the regulator? Will I need any new hardware or lines?
3. Does the aem FPR require modification to the stock one or does it mount and stand-alone?

3 is the map sensor and 7 is the tp sensor but if you're not sure if those codes are right, i'm also guessing that it's the ckp sensor located in the distributor. I had that issue last month, swapped the dizzy and everything was cool :]. At first i was guessing it might be the fuel pump. Goodluck, reread your codes.
I had a similar issue on my LS swap (obd0-obd1). Mine happened to be a lot of wirring problems I traced and repaired (was throwing CKP code). If you said the wiring was butchered you should take the time and trace everything.
If your getting a code 3 and 7 did you mix up the TPS and MAP sensor plugs? (Common to do so)
I use to have the idle/cutting off/limp mode problem (had a shity chip, tried a different ecu and fixed the problem), but now my car just runs way too rich. Only thing I havnt changed is the filter and pump (still working on fixing/diagnosing it, cause the old motor ran fine before the swap with the stock DX fuel setup)

As for the fuel pump just get a CRX Walbro 255 lph. You don'tNEED a fuel pressure regulator, the stock one is fine.
The AEM one is a stand alone, you just unbolt the old one, and replace it with the AEM one, the B&M FPR requires you to mod the stock one and I'v heard they don't work very well but it's hear say.
I got mine bandaged up at the moment. I was getting power to the pump on START but not on ON. I just hotwired it to an on off switch for now. Any idea what could be causing that? Maby its the same related part to his REX as well?
Its a new main. But I'm gonna swap it and check it again. It doesnbt help that I'm running an entire DA harness from headlight to taillight!! So I have waaaay to many plugs under tha dash not going to anything. Haha. It sux.
