little problem
I have an 00 honda civic, whenever i push the clutch in the car revs until car is at complete stop 5-15 seconds later..Any idea's on what this could be?? there is y7 in it. All help will be appreciated.

Also try bleeding the cooling system.
Also check whether the throttle cable is adjusted too tightly. It should have 3/8" to 1/2" of slack near the throttle body.

The ECU tells the engine to idle up when the engine is cold. The ECU gets the engine temperature signal from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. If air is trapped in the cooling system, the ECT can send false temp readings to the ECU. This is more common than you might think.
Well, even without pushing in the clutch, your idle speed is way high at 1200 rpm. It should be 700 rpm. I think pushing in the clutch and slowing down is just worsening this existing idle problem.
bump, still need help with this, changes intake manifold gasket and that helped a little but it still idles/revs high to like 3k for 1k when clutch or brake is pressed while car is still rolling...
