ok well i just got a jdm b16 shortblock without the head for 80... has oil pan but was boosted without lowering the cr..i know.."ERRRR" lol. well doesnt have harmonic balancer, broken knock sensor, and needs new rings... im more an h kinda guy. so these tiny b's are new to me... where should i start? rebuild the whole shortblock or just change the rings.. sleeves seem to be good as well as pistons, but idk if changing out the pistons and all that while the block is out is worth it or not.. some help would be great. also wondering if i should sleeve it or not. motor wasnt blown just taken out cause the rings went bad and began to smoke... also should i micro polish it or not?...... reason i ask all this is because its going into my girls car so technically its not my problem haha. eff me huh?
