Now I know alot of people would love to roll with no front license plates so there's a petition to be signed for that to happen. Let's make this happen!

i got pulled over for no plates and the cops was the biggest d-bag in the world

made it a stupid life or death situation, in which i have no clue that in a crash the front plate sitting on my dash will hit me in the face and kill me

For the first time in over 2 years with out a plate on, a cop pulled me over as I was pulling into my driveway!! WTF is that?!?! Luckily he didn't make a big deal of it but he got out of his car and walked up to me as he was telling me he doesn't want to see me on the road again 'til it's fixed. What ever, I'll be passing this around!!

Yeah I don't Effing get it, so many OEM cars don't have them on the front to begin with.

Ive gotten pulled over twice about it in the period of about 2 years, no tickets just "HEY fix that"

But one cop had a point its a way to pull you over and look for other things wrong with your car.... I don't know both times Ive been pulled over they were pretty nice about it, I think as long as you don't give them **** they are alright...

 

Well lets' keep passing this one guys. Think about the amount of tickets that would not happen if no front license plates was required.

 

yeahh most cars like 2003+ dont have holes in the front for the license plate like my GF's TL. they had to drill holes in the bumper= FAIL

Signed, I drove my modded DC2 for 4 years in SoCal and 2 years in WA and never got pulled over for it. Drove my stock CL9 at the time w/o a front license plate in WA for 3 months and got pulled over, WTF?!?!

 

So when will we find out if this actually does anything?

Can't tell you how many times i got pulled over/followed because of that..everytime i got pulled over the cop would ask me if I knew it was the law to have the license plate attached to the front of the bumper and I would just stare at him and say "Really?" And this other time a cop followed me 10 blocks until I got out of my car to walk into the house...damn renton cops

Front license plate won't make your car ugly and it most certainly won't save you weight.

I'm guessing that most of you are still in high school.

 

c'mon people do you think this petition will make a damn bit of difference? Think about it. 5000 signatures for over 3,000,000 registered drivers in WA state. No politician is going to see it your way. There's money to be made in red light and speed cameras that take pics of the front plate. LEO's will state that being able to read a license plate can catch more bad guys, and make them safer. You're only defense is that it doesn't look cool.

Oh and did you know that many departments are getting scanner systems that can scan a license plate and tell the officer that the car is stolen. They can scan thousands a day. This includes passing cars' front plate. So having a front plate might be the difference between recovering your stolen car intact or recovering your shell in an alley.

Oh yeah i signed it. Why do i have to have one when some cars dont have to. I see a lot of cars that just dont have them from factory.

 

Because they are awesome cars such as the Bmw M3.
