Default 01 Engine knock...

Hey guys,

I have loud engine knocking. I know it's more then likely because my piston is loose and is about to shoot through the motor. Do anybody know how much it would be to fix one piston?

Thanx!

Probably the connecting rod is loose on the wrist pin, or you spun a connecting rod bearing. More than likely will require machine shop services, such as crank turning and adding oversize bearings, which you will have to remove engine to take out the crank shaft. If crank shaft is ok, all you have to do is take off the cylnder head, and oil pan. If you are not mechanically inclined, price out a used engine and installation, as there is not going to be a $100. fix for this.
