Default new to the dc5, kpro world

I just recently sold my integra. Before I sold, I went threw hell tryin to get it pass emissions as the owner before me had an obd1 ecu in my obd2 db7. I am most likly going to purchase a dc5 with a kpro set up. My question is will this pass emmisions in CT. It has a dyno tune, with cat back, cold air intake, and test pipe, the owner, who is being very honest with me, says he turned the second o2 sensor off. Will I pass emissions like this? Or what do I need to do to pass emissions.

on my d17 7thgen civic I have OBD2 enabled on k-pro but I have the second o2 sensor hooked up and as long as I am running a good tune I can hook straight up to the emissions computer and pass with flying colors it the visual inspection that always gets when the look under and see the test pipe.

but if the tune is bad and you are throwing miss fire codes it won't work but if you have a good tune it should work fine

mostly the car will just feel and sound differrent if it was tuned to run with out the cat I would not leave the cat on for too long but mostly it will just restrict flow and the car will feel slower

answered above your post, and also if you have k-pro you can disable check-engine light incase you were wondering about that also

I am not sure how strict the emissions are in CT but i have a rh/i/e/kpro and pass emissions without having to put a cat in. I have the o2 sensor turned off thru kpro and im running a defouler just in case. It also helps if the place u go to to get inspected doesnt have a lift, it wont help that much but at least they prolly will not look under the car to check to see if there is a cat. You could also gut a cat if ur worried the will look for one.

the Stock base maps run extremely rich and if you dump enough gas you will throw a code that is why it depends on the tune if it is good enough you shouldn't run into any problems and just need to turn of the secondary o2 sensor

i dont know if anyone has mentioned this but if your MAIN concern is passing emissions you can do whatever modification you would like and still pass. what i mean is in Kpro or mine at least there is this lovely option of "set readiness" in one of the menu's. what set readiness does it is give the emission tester the correct values to pass that would be identical to a stock engine. lol ask me because that is how i got my dc2 K emission tested and registered. lol the tech didnt even have the slightest clue in hell what was going on except the pass screen on this monitor ^_^ and btw my K engine is nothing close to stock....
