d16a6 idle stuck at 2500 rpm
oh it will i can assure you lol. check to make sure the butterfly in the throttle body is fully closing. if it is then you almost certainly have a vacuum leak. the engine is getting more air then its supposed to from somewhere, and thats why your idle is so high.
The FITV valve doesn't get clean, it just gets screwed down so no air gets in through there causing a vac leak. Easiest way to check it is put your finger over the lower hole inside the the TB there should be little to no suction coming from the hole.
I know you said you checked it, but just ruling it out.
As other said I would spray soapy water over the vac lines and see if you see any bubbles you know where your leak is.

Vacuum's suck air in, not blow air out! Dont put soapy water unless you want it in your engine!
Test with carb cleaner over the suspected vacuum leak it will make the idle higher if it is sucking.

if you had an isuess with map you should have a cel light.. make sure you throttle cable isnt to tight. check vac hoses . i use brake clean with im lookin for a vac leak.
someone sent me the dpfi to mpfi wiring setup from rywire and I thought that was the problem..i ended up switching the cas and the cps on the dizzy...so now shes runnin but the idle is at like 2000 to 2500...the butterfly on the TB is closed all the way and the throttle cable isnt stuck...i rechecked the timing a couple times...its running good no backfires just running high..as for vacuum lines there only a few on the d16a6..theyre right according to the diagram on the hood...
my fitv isnt located near my tb mines on the back of my intake its a d16a6 ....would the hole still be in the tb i cant go look at it right now im at work... i dont remember how many holes there are..
if you have a stock d16a6 intake mani and throttle body then you do not have a fitv. the iacv is whats mounted on the back of the manifold.
actually a stock d16 has an fitv but its located on the backside of the manifold ..but on the d16a the TB only has 1 hole that diverts to both the iacv and the fitv so its hard to see what causing the air to go through
the picture is wrong, plain and simple. that is not a fitv, its a ficsv (fast idle control solenoid valve). they are in 2 seperate places and operate entirely different.

its seems to be the iacv ...when I unplug it it drops in idle alot and there barely if any suction on the hole in the TB but as soon as I hook it back the idle jumps to 2500rpm and air gets sucked through...the iacv tested 12.5 ohms which is good...i cant seem to figure out why its letting so much air in
...I wanna get my supercharger on already !!! hahaha

would not running the serpentine belt cause the idle to go high?? cause Im gonna be running a supercharger and I didnt have the stock belt so I figured I could run off the battery just to see if it starts well...
