91 crx c-pillar bar question!
any1 know how long a c-pillar bar for a 91 rex would be....in inches....and i mean the length of the bar only, not the mounting bolts, clamps, etc.... i ask this cause i wanna fab one up!!
buy a egay one, measure it, and then make it from there, then re-sell the bar on craigslist to get your money back. every teenager is looking for one to be apart of the C bar craze, so you should be able to sell it again

This bar is really pointless other than for looks and maybe (like in the second image above) helping open your hatch easily when the body of your car is rotting out from rust.
Anyway, you can't design/fab the bar properly like you are asking.
I hope you are just asking for a rough measurement so you can buy the raw stock material - you could have gotten that measurement by going out to your car and measuring it yourself though... so now I'm worried about what you are a doing
(not really.. I could care less about the stupid bar).
I'm guessing you are looking to do a solid bar that hooks up to the brackets at both ends with little or no adjustment.
Solid design, but you can't design it the way you are asking.
Problem is that nobody has a clue where you are going to mount this thing to your pillars AND nobody knows what brackets and hardware is going to be used.
Chorizo gave you a wide range answer, but you really can't ask for better.
What you need to do is get all your brackets and hardware together and then bolt it into the car.
THEN get your measurement and go cut and fab your bar.

Have you even been in a CRX? Look at the dash, door panels, the location of rear hatch struts, even the speakers that you mentioned, none of those is from a CRX. But that doesn't really matter, like everyone else has said, C pillar bar is a waste of money. A roll bar is probably a better investment in overall stiffening of the chassis.

IMO, $40 for a c-pillar bar isn't bad.
Unless you have ANY kind of data to prove c-pillar bars work... then you are just trying to convince yourself you didn't waste $40.
You want that bar to work cause you just shelled out $40 of your hard earned money for a useless product. Likewise, when I gamble and lose $40 and don't win... I convince myself that I had fun... otherwise I'd kick myself in the nuts as I left the casino cause I just wasted $40 on nothing.

Maybe I did maybe I didn't. 40 dollars isn't much. I love it and that's all that matters. But to me it feels like I have noticed a little difference, NOT MUCH, but a little.
