Opinions on new carpet
I have a 2000 ej8 with the dark gray interior, I think Honda calls it "classy gray".
I picked up a set of these from a RSX

I'm going to replace my carpet but I can't decide if I want to go back O.E. or razz it up a little and put red carpet in. I ordered a couple of samples of reds.

Any thoughts?

i love the idea of having red carpet. but as much as i've wanted to get it it's keepin it clean that worries me. i've seen countless cars with red carpet that's been trashed. i'd stick with the black

The samples top to bottom are: Red, Bright Red, JDM Type R red. Anybody ever get replacement carpet from stockinteriors.com? $129 for for molded carpet seems reasonable.
Never ordered anything from them before or heard good or bad till now. I don't expect to get oem quality for $129 but I do expect to get decent carpet that fits. If their stuff is junk I'd like to know before I order and have to send it back. Did you you get some crap from them?

OEM fitment isnt the greatest the way they roll it up and fold it making creases to fit it in the box, you'll have to do some trimming and cole cutting where the seat mounts go and the middle consol will need to be cut out a bit. BUT i'd go with the type r red, i did, i wish i had pictures to show for, but i dont, but in my EP3 i do have the type r red from stock interiors for my floor mats, and its HELLA easier to vacuum than the stock carpet
everything was cut to size, its hard to fit it with the creases but what you do is you rent a steam cleaner, steam it before you intall it(work out the creses kinda like ironing clothes) then once its all put in steam it after you position it to mould it the way you have it.
