Why not just keep the original?

IIRC the cluster hoods are quite different also.

the plugs are the same but the wires need to go to different spots. on this page you'll find diagrams that will help you figure out which wires need to be moved.

lol...lets see if i understand that "sentence"...

you have an 89 si, it has a nasty dash.

you have or are planning to purchase a 90-91 dash. correct?

you need to know how to wire the 90-91 cluster.

Id look around the FAQ if i were you, there is bound to be pin-outs of both clusters.

just use the stock cluster. remove the harness from both dash's, and put the 89 dash harness on the 90-91 style dash, and use your 89 cluster cover and cluster brackets.

It wont.

use this link to re-pin your 88-89 plugs to 90-91 status...

The cluster hood will fit.
use the 89 cluster, with the 89 hood, on the 90 dash. it works perfectly.

Well for now since I don't have the 89 cluster hood, I switched cluster brackets by using the 89 one and it bolted on perfect. The 90-91 cluster hood still fits but obviously theres gaps within the cluster and hood. so I just need the hood..
