An engine was burning oil like crazy before, and we couldn't find out what's the problem until the machine shop see the valve guides. Can someone tell me is there anything wrong with this valve guides? Sorry, that the best pic I got.

bad picture, but looks like the top portion of the guide isnt clean or has some damage on it

Looks like the actual seal is completey cone and only the cap remains,

 

I know what it is; there is a copper insert in that valve guide. But why?

 

Copper insert?
What is the purpose of the insert?

Can someone with more knowledge please explain why a valve guide has a copper insert? Did stock valve guides have it too?

 

Brilliant deduction from the man who can't change his own fuel filter...

 

There is no seal or cap on there.

That pic shows nothing that would be any indication of something wrong.
I could say something like its out of round but that would be a guess.
