Cleaning IACV, FITV and TB
I saw this write up and was wondering what year/model this is for? I have a 1989 Accord and a 99 accord that I would like to do this to just to get things cleaned up and running the best it can. any advice or links that are for these years would be great!
Do you need to remove the throttle body itself? I have a new gasket for the TB to intake.
any help is greatly appreciated!
thanks!!

The FAQ thread covers the 90-97 Accords. The 98+ Accords have a rotary air control solenoid. Kind of the same thing as the FITV and IACV all in one. It is attached to the back of the intake manifold.
I'm pretty sure the 89s are Carbureted and do not have ether the IAC or FIT valves. That being said the carb can still be cleaned in similar fashion as the throttle body.

Thanks for the reply. So the rotary air control solenoid can be cleaned also? Do you know if there is a write up to do it?
My 89 is fuel injected so would it be the same as the 1990 (write up)?
