You'd have to run an MDX,Pilot, SH AWD TL or RL transmission. The rear diff is probably considerably larger than the stock CRV rear diff, so you may need to enlarge the tunnel. But all and all, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I would think it would be an awsome swap, and I wouldnt care if it stayed awd or not. If possible I would do the oem tranny with a adapter plate. I can easily put a s2000 engine in my crv, but it will be FWD.

the only real issue i can imagine with a complete Pilot/MDX drive train swap would be the location of the drive shaft. would it line up with the tunnel for the CR-V's stock equipment?

other hurdles are like any other swap sans aftermarket support (custom mounts, custom fuel/exhaust/wiring/axles...)

i would suggest you start comparing things and looking for similarities and differences. decide if it's feasible. estimate costs. the end result would be nuts!

I know this is an old post and but I just want to add some info. Since mount kits have been fab for the ej civic you might be able to swap it in, ecu wise you will either get a jumper harness to run to either the stock ecu or a chipped ecu can do the job without a custom harness, just a regular conversion harness. If you want the awd function I don't think it will work as the transmission sits on the opposite side and it probably won't line up. The crv was already design to have the it on the passenger side.
