A couple crx questions

Default A couple crx questions

i have a stock 91 crx dx. i was wondering why sometimes it takes 2 tries to get her started. and sometimes it is hard to get in gear as well as a sloppy feeling to it. thanks in advance

the starting thing could be a bunch of things do a good tune up on it. getting it in gear is that for all the gears or just first and reverse? sloppy feeling is the shift linkage get es bushings and tighten everything up.

seems like i have to kind of force it in the gears. not sure if normal. ive only driven one manual car so i cant really tell. i think it might need some greasing. where though?????

I recomend syncromesh oil in the tranny. And do what blackohatch mentioned

try putting in some genuine Honda MTF and see if that helps your shifting
also get the energy suspension polyurethane bushings for your shifter they will make it feel a lot better and get the black ones because the contain graphite to self-lubricate

few more questions. how do i drain and fill the tranny and how many bottles will i use? and i think something is leaking where the linkage and tranny connect,what could that be?

When you pull your axels out the trans. fluid will start to drain out. if you have a leak somewhere probably the axel seals and those arent that expensive and simple to replace. since its a D-series to get to the bolt that u use to put gear oil in take the starter off and underneath it is a bolt. (possibly 17mm cant remember), after u break it loose there is a spring underneath it and u can take it out an put gear oil back in it. i think it takes a quart and a half of gear oil if i remember right. hope this helps u
