Default H22 type R euro engine to a 97 SE

I was going to spend $1k on rebuilding my F22B2 instead I'm going to try to put a H22 euro engine in instead, $1100 Better end result.

So the question is will the wiring harness for the euro match the accord? (I know you have to run a vtec wire and switch a few around)

Will my F22b2 auto be a workable mate? Shift and rpm matching The only thing I'm confused about is the Computer working with this.

Will the US H22 computer work with the Euro engine when I get a auto H22 ECU?

Euro-R motor is more like $3400.

No, It'll be like around 4K. Check Hmotorsonline.com for more info.

You can use your F22 engine harness and extend whatever sensor connectors to reach its sensors. I'm pretty sure its similar to the H22A swap wiring.

Yes, It'll bolt up but then, you'll loose that full potential out from the Euro R. F22 trans are known for long gearing, and it won't get its full power.

Ignition/Fuel map may be different but it shouldn't hurt it too bad unless you get it tuned. I'd say get a chipped ecu and start from there.

Like everyone else has stated. An H22A7 swap is going to set you back more than $1100. Unless you happen to know someone that has no idea of it's value and is going to sell you the block for $3-400.

Keep your Accord harness and lengthen any wires that may need to be lengthened. Don't bother messing with trying to put the Euro R harness into the Accord. This swap is the same procedure as an OBD2 H22A swap.

You will loose almost everything that you would have gained from this swap in using the F22 Auto trans. Shift points and gears are all lower. You would probably have a hard time reaching the VTEC engagement point. Unless you always kept your foot buried into the firewall. IIRC the A/T Accord shifts around 5k RPM, same time VTEC is supposed to engage. I'm not sure if using the H22A4 TCU would help or not. You still have to work with a longer set of gears in an engine that likes short gearing.

The H22A4 ECU & TCU will probably run the H22A7 but you will more than likely loose all of it's Euro-R gains. You would most likely end up with an over cam'd, de-tuned engine. You will also need the TCU (28100-P5M-A06) for the A/T ECU (37820-P5M-L55) that you use.

I'm looking to go with the H22A with a H22A trans. The euro block is just more work, H22 seem more effective. I heard there might be ac/steering issues with the brackets. The only thing I want to is fab. the mount and steering house.

1. Will my gas milage be around 28-32 on the highway
2. What will be my 0-60 times with the auto. I saw a 210hp manual do a 6sec on youtube. In a accord very impressed.
3. I have a SE with the remote locks that works, will this be disabled when I install the auto H22A ECU? Is this a separte computer.(I'm usually good with this but haven't had time to look at car to see or go to Alldata @ the library). I love my remote!
4. Should a auto tenisioner be fine with stock HP? I read that is if you put more power on the engine it puts load on the cams then the auto tensioner is stressed. Is that theory Right?
5. With the auto shift link fit this tranny? I know this cruse requires a bracket mod or different throttle body.
