h22 or b18c5
Im looking to do an engine swap with my 97 civic. Which engine is overall better and will give me more power a b18c5 or the h22? Obviously the h22 engine is cheaper so its a safe to say ill probably end up with it because im not made of money, but i just want to know what the real differences would be if the two engines were actually put in a civic?
I do not want to come across as a d!ck man but searching will be the best way for you to get your answer. This subject has been covered many times. Hope that helps.

It's not that much cheaper when it's all said and done. Crap adds up FAST.

If all of your decisions are based soley on the money issue than what good would opinons be when the bottom line numbers are black and white?
Write down WHY you want a swap and WHAT you want to do with it. The more ideas you think up the answer will show up all on its own.
In my world a fresh B18C5 was chosen and propelled me to a rookie season local drag championship....needless to say I am very happy with my chosen B series path.

Its what available in your budget and what is available to you I say go h series cause if its gsr its still okay but your gonna be paranoid about someone followin you and if its a h series you blow that motor good luck on finding parts.
