Uh oh.. Broken ZC crankshaft pulley & ZC Downpipe - which pipe can I use
OK so the very outer lip of the crankshaft pulley has about a 3 inch piece broken off. IT doesnt affect the belts in any way because the broken lip is on the far outer edge of the pulley that resides around the hole to access the crankshaft bolt. (ZC guys will know what i mean) the alternator and AC portion of the pulley is fine. My question is will this broken lip cause a mis balance and vibration during engine use? Can I swap my Si Crank pulley if they have the same timing marks and circumference and all that junk?
OK I realize the ZC exhaust manifold is a 4-2-1 header whereas the Civic Si header is a 4-1 header. Seeing this dilemma. Which doner car downpipe can i use to join both? 89 Integra or somethin? Thanx for your help in advance
I will post a pic of the broken pulley to illustrate soon

You definitely want to change the crank pulley. Either a an Si or DX should work fine. As far as the down pipe, the 92-95 Si or EX downpipe will match up with the top half of the ZC manifold. The only problem you may run into would be the downpipe matching up with the cat.
I had the same problem with my crank pulley when I bought it. But since we don't have power steering, and no A/C. . .I decided to leave it. My car gets pushed pretty hard, and it's ran fine for the past 2 months.
But to be on the safe side. . you'll probably wanna change it out.

Hey WrongHead ...... are the Crankshaft pulleys from the Si or Dx the same diameter as the ZC?

Actually if you can get a DX pulley they are the lighest out of the stock D-series, they have 2 belt runners on the pulley..

i'm using an HF pulley, but i had the entire bottom end balanced along with the HF pulley (i was doing a rebuild, so i went with the lighter pulley).
