Default Finished my Honda conversion today

So I finally finished the last of my Honda conversion. Woohoo. This is my D.I.Y but I'll post it here cause it's minor

So here is the new key. It's from a Honda Accord and it's been modified to use my acura key

So first I took it over to ace hardware and had my key cut

Then I took a razor blade and cut open the old key to remove the immobilizer

there it is in the center

now I open the new key fob and pull out the factory immobilizer for the accord

put the RSX one in the accord key

and BAM! Now I have my new key and a blank spare!

now time to program the new fob

Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Within 1 to 4 sec. , push the transmitter lock or unlock button with the transmitter aimed at the receiver under the audio unit.
Within 1 to 4 sec. , turn the ignition switch OFF.
Within 1 to 4 sec. , turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Within 1 to 4 sec. , push the transmitter lock or unlock button with the transmitter aimed at the receiver under the audio unit.
Within 1 to 4 sec. , turn the ignition switch OFF.
Within 4 sec. , turn the ignition switch ON (II).

Within 1 to 4 sec. , turn the ignition switch OFF.
Within 4 sec. , turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Within 1 to 4 sec. , push the transmitter lock or unlock button with the transmitter aimed at the receiver under the audio unit.
Confirm you can hear the sound of the door lock actuators. Within 1 to 4 sec., push the transmitter lock or unlock button again.
Within 10 sec. , aim the remaining transmitters (up to two additional ones) whose codes you want to store at the receiver, and press the transmitter lock or unlock buttons. Confirm that you can hear the sound of the door lock actuators after each transmitter code is stored.
Turn the ignition switch OFF, and pull out the key.
Confirm proper operation of the transmitters.

ENJOY!

i know this is a pic thread but i have a quick question, i am currently doing a 04 - 05 conversion, (new lights/ bumpers). i am having trouble with the front lights, the nighttime lights fit perfectly but the signal and daytime running lights/high beams, dont fit. i know for a fact that the wiring harness is different for the front but it goes for 450$. anyone know any other options???

Create a "New Topic"

No need to thread jack haha. Create a new thread and you will get better results, instead of filling someone else's thread with all of your Q and A's...

Lol forgot this isn't crsx....where can I get that backplate? And addition to the question, how can you get the acura key modified to work with the accord cover, because I know accord keys don't have the same cut out as ours

you have to use an acura key and glue it into the honda key casing.

When you JB Welded the stock key to the fob, did you drill a hole in the key so you could get that small little screw in?
